Miss B biography :

Miss B has been shaking up the dancefloors since the late 80s, offering up a crazy mix of soul, funk, reggae and jazz, plus an unashamed dash of easy listening and kitscherama. It's all about the feel-good groove and less about fashion or trendiness. People have been known to dance on tables and swing from chandeliers at her gigs. Whether 16 or 60, this Mary Poppins of the turntables will have everyone on their feet even when they don't really want to.

Anglo-Italian by origin, Miss B grew up somewhere between West London and Milan. She soon became addicted to her radio, dancing in clubs and collecting vinyl of all different styles. It didn't matter if it was Shirley Bassey or James Brown or Roni Size - what mattered was the groove, the happy vibe and the self-expression that the music could evoke.

A member of the Acid Jazz London scene in the late 80s, she was a regular face behind the decks at the legendary Blue Note club and various other establishments in the Hoxton area. After a move to Milan in the 90s, she was snapped up by national Radio Capital and the Rai to present 'The Cocktail Shaker' 7 days a week - a mad eclectic mix of new and old grooves, dressed up with film soundtracks and old adverts. Resident weekend DJ at the famous Plastic club and many clubs around the Adriatic Riviera. Also prolific album compiler for Irma Records, (the most well-known 'Swinging Cheese' and 'The Cocktail Shaker' - still selling well today).
